Feasibility Study of Cold store in Tikapur, Kailai

The feasibility study of cold store was carried out in Tikapur, Kailai targeting the sponsored family members of Kailai and Bardiya CDPs. Participatory research methodology such and need assessment, field observation, assessment of existing cold storage of Mahendra Nagar and Koholpur, FGD with farmers and stakeholder, key informant interview with relevant stakeholders  and consultation with National stakeholders (AEC, ADB, NEEP, Helvitas) was adopted.  The study identified a need of establishing a cold storage of 2000 Mt capacity in Tikapur which would directly benefit 5000 sponsored families of the region. The finding shows that economic welfare of cold storage is NRs. 73800000.00 to whole community.
