Water Resource Mapping

Saemaul Zero Hunger Communities Project, Phase-II project of the Good Neighbors International Nepal conducted 'Water resource mapping and Productive utilization plan' in Doti district. 

The objective of ‘Water Resource Mapping and Productive Utilization Plan’ is to map all available water sources (spring and stream) and prepare water distribution calendar and management plan in five VDCs (Khrisain, Gajari, Sanagau, Gairagau and Kadamandu) of Doti district. 

The survey identified 298 spring water sources. Out of 298 sources, 47 are highly potential for irrigation purpose whereas 114 are medium feasible and 114 are low feasible. These water source if utilized properly can irrigate 2723 hectare of land and serve 2351 household for domestic water use.
