Assessment of business opportunities in areas electrified by renewable energy technologies and feasibility study of energy intervention in Lokta handmade paper product

This report is the outcome of the research initiative entitled “Business Opportunities in Area Electrified by Renewable Energy Technologies ad Feasibility Study of Energy Intervention in Lokta Handmade Paper Product” awarded by the Alternative Energy Promotion Center (AEPC) to the JV-team of Alliance Consults Pvt. Ltd and Sustainable Approach on Natural Resource Management and Gender Awareness for Micro-enterprise (SANGAM).  AEPC, a main institution in Nepal, mandated for the promotion and dissemination of alternative energies and renewable energy technologies has now been executing National Rural and Renewable Energy Programme (NRREP). This programme has a business development for renewable energy (RE) and productive energy use (PEU) component which seeks to promote productive energy use of  RE in order to generate employment and income of the rural people by establishing micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
