Feasibility Study of Cold Storage in Tikapur Kialai

The feasibility study of cold store was carried out in Tikapur targeting the sponsored family members of Kailai based CDPs and patavar CDPs. The study adopted the participatory research methodology such and need assessment of cold storage in tikapur, visit and assessment of existing cold storage of Mahendra Nagar and Kholpur, PRA, FGD, key informant interview with relevant stakeholders at local levels,

consultation with National stakeholders (AEC, ADB, NEEP, Helvitas).  The study identified a need of establishing a cold store of 2000 Mt capacity in Tikapur which would directly benefit the small farmers. The finding shows that economic welfare of cold storage to the farmers is NRs. 8200000.00 in case of sponsored family and NRs. 73800000.00 to whole community in including sponsored family
